Where is Wharncliffe?
Wharncliffe is situated 15km south of Hobart sitting between the mountain and the sea at Kingston Beach. Only 10 minutes out of town, close to the Southern Outlet, we are easily accessible from most areas.
Visitors are welcome.
Like most alpaca breeders we are enormously enthusiastic about our herd and enjoy sharing them with visitors. Come and visit, but do phone for an appointment first.
What about Bass Strait?
Current arrangements with TT line ensure that Bass Strait is not the barrier it used to be, so if you purchase a Wharncliffe animal, we can organise transport to Melbourne at a modest cost. Alpacas sit calmly during transport and we can be anywhere in Victoria within 24 hours of leaving Wharncliffe.
